Boating on the Thames…

After our trip to Selfridges, we went on a boat cruise on the river.

There is a lovely picture of my cousin, Lynne, and her son Josh.

a 1And there is one that includes Josh’s fiancé and me… but I had to cut Mollie out… sorry, Mollie. I cut my wife out of the first picture too, because that is the way she wants it.

a 3That is a picture of the HMS Belfast, the World War Two cruiser moored near the Tower of London. A picture of a boat taken from a boat… cool…

a 4Have I ever mentioned that I love boats?

a 5Boats are awesome.

a 6Boats let you see things from new perspectives, and go places you can’t go without them.

a 7I think the boat cruise came free with our three-day hop-on/hop-off bus tour passes.

a 8That is a good view of some of the whimsical new buildings taking over the London skyline.

a 9And that is more or less a classic shot of the Tower Bridge.

a 10Anywhere you travel, if you have the chance, get yourself on a boat.

a 11It doesn’t matter what size it is… it only matters where you can take it to.

Only the boatmen with a small boat say that the size of the boat doesn’t matter.

Love the perspective of London from the water. Fascinating pics Art., I too like boats and trains – being able to see things otherwise unseen is very attractive to me. It seems so odd that WW2 battleship is so big in the Thames and yet England was the world’s premier sea power for centuries. Where id they fit so many big ships?

Those new buildings are a hoot. I did a double take and had to go back to the pictures a few times, just looking at their odds shapes. It looks like something I would build accidentally while trying to get a square building.

Great looking family Art – how did you come from such a fine genetic line? Ha!
