I am terribly sorry to leave such a vast and gaping hole in your life, but I don’t have it in me to be funny today…

Five hours ago I left to take my wife’s new Highlander to the shop for a regularly scheduled maintenance procedure. On the way, a lady in a Lexus pulled out of a 7-11 right in front of me. I had no room to stop. She admitted it was her fault… at least so far…

a 1 a 12

Between the paperwork and phone calls and rental car and other stuff, this day is mostly shot.

I will try to be back to being funny in the morning.

Since you didn’t state it, I’m assuming no one was hurt which is a good thing!

That sucks, but you’re still alive and kicking so there’s the positive anyway. Take care.

I just went through this about a month ago, when some guy rear-ended me. Be sure to notify the DMV within 10 days. California law requires it, whether it’s your fault or not. You can download a form from the dmv website that you fill out and send in. Also, it’s a good idea to fill out a police report at the police station. I think the law may even require that, also. But it’s also useful in case a question of fault arises. Good luck dealing with the hassle. It’s a big pain.

There are other, and some may say, better ways to meet a lady

sorry and glad you’re okay. have a massive slurpee –

  8. Just keep telling yourself that it could have been much worse – someone could have been injured, or your wife could have been driving. My husband kind of freaked out the day I was rear-ended while waiting to make a left turn, and when he arrived all he could see were fire trucks and ambulances. No one was hurt – it just happened to be one of those little towns where as soon as you call 911, EVERYONE shows up.

    Glad you’re OK.

And that is why I avoid driving anywhere near a 7-11 store. The people who shop their are bad drivers. It’s a scientific fact.

Bummer. I’m presuming you weren’t hurt (and neither was she). But still, a good way to ruin a perfectly good day.

Oh you deserve a break. I’ve been shut in the last two days on count of icy streets. People in Louisiana don’t have snow tires and will run over you. We also don’t have snow plows. My mother spent the last 48 hours with me and she won’t let me blog. (She’s 86. I have to be nice.)I have a dental appointment in two weeks to replace a filling and the tooth broke off today. Wah, wah, wah, for me.

  12. Hey, I’ve been there too…there’s plenty of time for funny later.
