As soon as we threw our bags in the room of the hotel, we walked over to check out the beach. Which was like 30 feet from our front door… and over to the right, I spotted this place…
The Sea House… restaurant and bar. From the inside, it had this view of the beach…
Oh, we enjoyed many tropical drinks in this place over the next week…
So many colors… so many flavors…
I admit, these are not the most manly looking of adult beverages…
But you have to make some allowances when you are visiting a tropical paradise…
They also served some awesome pu pu platters…
If you do not know what that means, I feel sorry for you…
There were also these cute little red-headed birds…
They looked a little like Cardinals, but I am not sure about that…
I do know that they never checked with the hostess before being seated…

I don’t drink anymore, but I love the virgin version of most of the drinks you show! Mmmmmm pina colada . . .
I respect your decision…
Those cocktails are right up my street, tropical paradise or dirty backstreet boozer. Every hour’s cocktail hour
You would have loved it.
I’m all about the cocktails on holiday, and none of your serious kinda ones either, if I don;t have enough umbrellas and plastic monkeys protruding out I’m disappointed
Maui would be perfect for you.
It’s on the ever growing list, a list designed to excite but just gets you down when you realise there are not enough days left of your life or money to do it
I know exactly what you mean
You could even match the drink color to your outfit every day… HA!
Hahaha! That’s funny when you see my colour palette. No tie dye here, I mainly wear brown or navy blue, not the most enticing colours for a beverage.. 😀
I hate to think you clash with your drink…
I’ll have to stick to brown ale
uh…
That has to be one of my favourite things (among many) about Maui. You never feel like you are eating/drinking inside. The beauty is always right there.
You can’t escape it
heh heh . . . you said pu pu.
It is almost as fun to say as it is to eat… ewwww
I want to go too. Can I hide in your suitcase?
If you pay the bills…
Aaahhhh well therein lies the problem my friend
or the rub, as they used to say…
Ha! Yes I deliberately avoided that one because I knew where you would take it 😉
Am I that predictable?
When it comes to gutter humour? Kinda
Oh… dang it…
Ha! It’s one of your finest qualities
You bring out the gutter in me for some reason.
Ha! I am choosing to take that as a compliment
I meant it as one…
Thank you!
thank you
I would say thank you but I think we’d be crossing over into thank-ception
better than con-ception
Absolutely!
Or inter-ception…
I don’t know what a “pu pu platter” is, but I don’t like the way it sounds.
Google it…
Maybe those birds were the long-lost Hawaiian cousins of the red cardinals. They just happened to fly in the wrong direction when leaving the nest.
I did a quick Google search and they’re called red-crested cardinals. Beautiful birds — thanks for posting their pictures!
And oh, boy, those platters look so good. Yum!
Yeah, turns out red-crested cardinals taste pretty good too…
Sounds like you’re having a great time! 🙂
Well, we are back now, but we did have a good time while we were there.
I promised my wife I wouldn’t blog while we were on our second honeymoon…
So neat.
It was handy to have it so near by…
