I was delighted to see this little guy, a very young possum, outside my mom’s windows last night.
He was helping himself to some cat food in the backyard.
Hence the clever name of this post.
It was a nice change of pace from the raccoons that usually come to steal the cat food…
But then I saw a few of them later, out of the front deck.
This one was deciding whether to scamper away into the big oak tree, or go back for a second helping.
A possum might not have a raccoon’s good looks.
But I still think they are sort of cute.

They are so cute. We have a large one and 2 little ones that visit our yard. I love them. We put peanut butter and nuts or for them and they eat the fallen birdseed. I wish more people understood them..🙋🐦
I think most people never even think about them.
