Okay, I have been promising that I would type up and post the text for my new book for children that I am working on the illustrations for. Don’t get too excited. In the first place, most people despise poetry. In the second place, this is for little kids. It is highly repetitive and, at best, sort of adorable, especially when I add my illustrations to each line.

I like you, friend, I like you, I want to stick with you like I’m made of glue

I like you, I certainly do, I like you more than going to Kalamazoo

I like you, oh yes, I like you, more than traveling to Timbuktu

I like you, yes, I like you, more than all the flowers that ever grew

I like you, you know that I do, even more than the color blue

I like you, yup, I like you, more than a penny, shiny and new

I like you, I really really do, more than cooking on a barbeque

I like you, I absolutely do, more than all the pictures that I ever drew

I like you, oh yes, I do, more than making music on a new kazoo

I like you, it’s true, I like you, more than all the bubbles that I ever blew

I like you, oh how much I like you, more than all the candies that I can chew

I like you, yes I like you, if I like anyone, it’s you, that’s who
