I just happened to take that selfie when the stage was lit with blue lights. You can even see the glint of my ‘cool’ earring. Yeah, I wore my cool earring.
I can’t even begin to tell you how awesome last night was. I went with my friend, Becky, who is actually an old high school friend of my wife. We jammed on guitars in the parking lot before the show… and I might have drunk a few beers… or more…
So, you may or may not know that this Foo Fighters world tour is now being called the ‘Break A Leg’ tour… because front man, Dave Grohl… who used to be the drummer in Nirvana before Kurt Cobain died… broke his leg falling off a stage in Sweden not too long ago. He finished the show with a broken leg and a dislocated ankle… a paramedic had to sit on stage and hold his ankle in place.
So, to finish the tour, they made him a big throne with a big circular back covered in lights.
He looks like a Thanksgiving turkey… if you were on acid…
Oh, and I know that picture… and the next one… are crappy quality because my cell phone doesn’t like darkness… but the image on the big screen is this old hippy in a tie dye shirt that Dave spotted dancing in the crowd, and he called him up on stage because he said he had never seen anybody dance like that to a Foo Fighters song, and they let him dance on stage for a whole song.
I mean, they started a new song just for him. We all ended up calling the guy ‘Happy Feet Steve’. The crowd went wild.
That is a classic shot of Dave doing the head-banging, hair-swinging, hard rock thing… in his big, crazy turkey throne.
Sometimes he would get carried away and kick up the leg with the cast on it… which is still recovering from intensive surgery.
You should see a Foo Fighter show if you get the chance. The crowd is awesome… people of all ages. And come back for the rest of my adventure later in part two.
Because you know me… and my crack squirrels… we always do something unexpected.

Very Cool Mark.
…ooo000ooo…
Whoops- Art!
I was wondering who this Mark guy was… HA!
Mark Bialczak – I write guest posts for him and he has a beard like yours and he posts about twice a day, about the same as you on average.
ah
Oh and he reviews a lot of bands and music as well as sports – except he does so in Syracuse NY.
