Yeah, the concert was awesome. I have been to a lot of concerts in my life… seen all the best bands back in the day… but I have a unique talent when it comes to things like this. I don’t just let life happen. I make it happen. I have adventures.
I know these pictures are crappy quality. I just wanted to highlight two things. One is that the cool throne that Dave Grohl sat in while doing the show not only had lights and lasers and guitar racks mounted on it, but occasionally, it would move forward, gliding out onto this part of the stage that extended way out into the crowd.
The thing is… and this is the ‘thing’ that brings us to the second thing that I wanted to point out, if you see what I mean… and that second thing is that all my life I have had this weird, magical ability to have really good adventures.
I think it is a mindset thing. It just never occurs to me that something magical can’t happen, so often, it does.
Technically, I shouldn’t even have most of these crappy pictures to share with you, because, for obvious financial reasons, my friend Becky, and her niece and nephew-in-law, had tickets for the cheap seats… well, not even seats unless you brought a lawn chair… way up on the grass at the top of the venue.
See, it even says ‘lawn’ right on the ticket… three times… as if to remind us to keep away from the people who had better seats. But here is another thing… not the best ‘thing’ that there is, but I made it work for me… see, I am old, so I can tell people to ‘get off my lawn’. And, working on the principal that this power extends to all lawns, I just told myself to get off my lawn, if you see what I mean.
So drunk little me goes on one of my little adventure walks, wandering around in the dark, looking for good shots to share with you… and guess what…
I happened to be passing a few of the security people who were checking tickets to keep the riffraff out of the good seats, and there was a minor scuffle that had nothing at all to do with me, and I took the opportunity to slip past the security… so I could wander around a lot closer to the stage. HA!

cool, and will you be managing ‘happy feet steve’ now?
I doubt anybody can manage that guy… even himself.
Awesome Art!
it really was
