Well, we spent three days in London…
And then we took the train up to Lancashire to stay with our cousin Dot for three more days, before a one-day train trip to Liverpool to see the Beatles museum… and then back to the Preston area before carrying on back to London, where we stopped for about an hour before we caught the train under the English channel for Paris…
Where we spent another three days running around like maniacs before getting on a really fast… I mean scary fast… train to Frankfurt, Germany…
Where we immediately got into a rental car and drove to Rothenberg… which you might remember from other posts I did, because I went there with my other daughter ten years ago… it isn’t on the map, but we spent the night there and I have lots of pictures… and then we drove to Munch… where we spent another three days… doing more crazy stuff… so there you go… more or less.

Fantastic! What a great trip!
It really was
Holy big trip Batman. That sounds amazing.
it was
I love Munich, I must go back sometime. Not done Frankfurt but we have a business fair there every two years which i am never allowed to go to 🙂 Where Is lovely nearby is Luxembourg where my mates live, I am back there in September this year. Can you believe I only used Eurostar for first time last year and this is after I used to live a 15 min walk away from St Pancras station for 5 years. I used it to for Paris, but then I went to Lille for my birthday this year, I loved it, so pretty, so am back there for my 40th next year.
Oh and off to Liverpool in September too, I should go there more since I support their football team. (I know bad gay liking sports)
It’s awesome you took Mollie on a similar European pilgrimage you did for your elder daughter.
I hope London was good to you, I was gonna add it’s sweltering here now, but since you live in California, that’s no news at all ;-D
I love London, but it would have been better if I had met you.
So that’s it? You’re just going to put all the information in one post?
no… I will do this in funny bits and pieces as always… food… animals… weird stuff… etc…
Sounds like an amazing adventure, but what I want to know is, did you try to mess with any Royal Guards? I heard they really enjoy it when you try to make them laugh.
I have too much respect for the snappy red coats… and automatic weapons…
Sounds like a great trip. Don’t let it get to your head! 😉
Why would it? Art’s head wasn’t on the map. 🙂
I fell asleep on the map and drooled all over it.
Oh. I thought those were lakes.
nope… there are no lakes in Europe… no room for them.
You have been in particularly good form lately!
Hey… my form is pretty good too…
HA!
wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee
uh… I let everything go there…
No! I’m shocked! Shocked!
Ha… and sigh… and oh my…
Coooool…. I might even post some photos of my British excursion too, although mine was, you know, propa Brit. Being that I’m a propa Brit and all… you know what I’m saying, lad?
we had high tea in the crypt under St. Paul’s, saw the Royal family from feet away, and lived in Lancashire for three days at our cousin’s house on scones and tea… we saw part of a James Bond Movie being filmed, saw Les Mis in London, also with cousins, and my name is Arthur ‘freekin’ Browne… out-English that, you Canadian wannabee… HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m going to bring the full Brit, yo. This means dressing the Queen up in a corsett and giving her a very long sword. She is going to whoop some American bum, I should think, and then go for a spot of tea. Take that, you colonial cretin.
bloody unlikely, mate
Full flippin Brit, back hair and all. I said back hair!
I don’t drink tea… I have a right proper brew up… or a spot of tea…
Also, we have roast beef, Yorkshire pudding and plum pudding every Christmas… with the poppers… so…
