I met a new buddy the other day when I drove up to drop some stuff off at my wife’s Aunt and Uncle’s house.
She was so sweet.
She came trotting over as soon as I started making that ‘chck…chck…chck’ sound with my tongue…
She just pressed her whole face up against my chest and started snuggling me.
She had the sweetest eyes…
And she seemed really sad to see me go.
The last time I drove by the same ranch, this guy came over to say hello. As soon as he found out I didn’t have any carrots or sugar cubes, he got a little bitey.Β All horses are not friendly all the time. They have bad days. They have moods. They have personalities. But I still love them.

Babies and horses – such a gentle soul you are. I had a horse when I was 13. I was in a few shows and jumped – rode English then. Then I got another horse and rode Western – he was a trained barrel racer, but I never raced him in any competitions. Now I ride occasionally on the trails in the Metroparks on trail horses that are kind of boring. But I love horses as well. The Cavs are playing right now, btw, they are down by 1 at halftime, so they need your positive thoughts π
I have a bunch of cute horse posts back down there…
Why am I not surprised to hear that?!
I don’t know
Awwww just horsing around I see…

Have you seen the new Mad Max movie? It has nothing to do with this post, but I had to ask.
Not yet
Go see it! Then drive the highway top speed.

Do what? SQUIRREL!

wheeeeeeeeee
Look Out! It’s on crack! it must have escaped. Reminds me of a story from some years ago when there was a hurricane in Tokyo. A large tree fell on a net over the squirrel exhibit at the zoo. All the squirrels escaped so the zoo put out a public call for anyone seeing a squirrel to call so they could capture it. When they had captured 38 squirrels of the 30 that had escaped, they were a bit taken aback. And still calls were coming in for more squirrels. the zoo’s only comment was that they must have miscounted the original number of squirrels. personally i think the squirrels put out an ad campaign. “Any Squirrel or family of Squirrels wanting to relocate to an address that provides free food-all you can eat – ,no predators, free medical care, free housing and an admiring audience, should stand on Mrs. Wiggley’s mailbox and call her names until the relocation team arrives. All welcome.”
wow
Aha! Shh don’t tell Arthur’s squirrels that!

Yo Paul! Yah, no posts in quite some time, my life got a bit up-ended with ‘shtuff’. It’s the word I use for the entanglement of life’s intended and unintentional adventures, layered with a thick helping of minty stress. I’ll have to go to Julie’s no-blog; that’s so funny. Will catch up – promise. Glad to hear that you’re posting.
Yummm- minty stress. That’s the tastiest kind!
if you like mint
