And now, the larch… and today’s picture for Mr. Eric Idle… who now chats with me on Twitter…

I am not making this up. Not only is Mr. Eric Idle of ‘Monty Python’ fame still following me on Twitter, but we have actual chats. It is still sort of freaking me out. It is too awesome.

I now have, thanks to the lovely daughter of Terry Gilliam, (Terry Gilliam is also of ‘Monty Python’ fame), and official representative of Monty Python Picture Ltd., permission to use the dialog from a bunch of Monty Python skits in the third book of my action/humor science fiction series; The Otherwhere Chronicles… (available through links on my book page in the top bar of my blog right up there)… because of that alien that learned to speak English by watching old Python reruns. I can use the quotes for free, if I put the correct usage permission bit in the front of the book, unless or until I start selling more than a few hundred copies, and then I have to renegotiate and pay a small royalties fee… got it?

So anyway, I am still tweeting a funny picture of Mr. Eric Idle to Mr. Eric Idle everyday as a way of saying thanks for setting me up with all that, unless or until he tells me it is getting creepy… then he can renegotiate and tell me to stop… HA!

a 1 a 1 2

So far he likes them, and has been retweeting them to his legions of fans, and I am becoming something of a minor Twitter sensation.

And you managed to keep the crown on the note. …Congratulations! …Unless/until you have to pay royalties. But not £20 royalties, I wouldn’t think.

Ok, so apparently I was wrong. I will admit it. I still think you’re kinda weird, though, Art. But I must say, I like this picture.

What – only a twenty pounder? I would have thought that Idle would have been worth a “ThoArt Pounds of Idle” (haven’t you herd of a thoart pounder before? Old English saying!)
