I went to see weird Al Yankovic last night with two of my brothers, my nephew and my daughter, Mollie. We saw him at the San Diego county fair sitting in the stands of the famous Del Mar horse race track. I don’t want to interrupt the flow of the pictures of my trip to the Bay Area to show the pictures of the concert yet, but man, that guy puts on a show.

I saw him around 2000, shortly after Running With Scissors came out. It was phenomenal. Truly one of the most entertaining concerts I’ve seen, and I’ve been to a lot!
He really works it. He has talent. His singing voice is amazing.
I could see you and Weird Al being really good friends. What did he open with and what did he close with?
I will do some pictures and stories after my Bay Area trip…. but Star Wars was the big closer.
He’s still on my list of acts to see.

I have seen just about every big name band. Except Zeppelin… who knew?
Standing in line for a show, I ws talking to a couple of older bluesmen who said they blew off seeing Zeppelin once because the $5 ticket price seemed too high…

Nice! I sw John Entwhistle on the last tour he did with the Who, and Jimmy Page on tour with Black Crwes a show or two before he threw out his back and cancelled teh rest.
Sadly, I kept meaning to see Tito Puente (oh, I’ll see him next week…) and then he died too.
They need to stop dying… so inconsiderate.
