Three or four people said that they would like to see more pictures of our trip to Europe…
And you know I always do as I am told…
The Ambassadors of Music tour lasts almost three weeks. The best musicians from marching bands all over the state are chosen to represent our country, and the highlight of the trip are the concerts. They played in a park in London, a park in Paris, a town meeting hall in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, the town square in Seefeld, Austria, and the town square in Rothenburg, Germany. There were some interesting side trips as well.
That is Jessica, getting all flutey in a beautiful park in Paris. Everywhere they played, the crowds loved the music. They did classical pieces and Beatle songs and lots of other music. After the concert, I wandered around the park and found this…
I did not Photoshop this picture. A French artist put the big face in the little reflecting pool. Artists are cool.
We took a cruise on the river Seine…
And we went to Notre Dame cathedral…
Yes, I took pictures of the big fancy church, but you can see those anywhere… come on, how cute is that little French girl…
Here is Jessica in Switzerland…
That’s right, my daughter can make Switzerland even more beautiful.
Not that Switzerland needs much help…
Here is Jess playing in Austria. Notice they always put her right in front. She is that good…
We took a day trip to Venice…
I had to put in a picture of the Bridge of Sighs… because that is the coolest name ever for a bridge…
Unfortunately, we arrived in Venice during rush hour…
Alright, that is enough for one post. Just so you know, these are just representational pictures of the trip. I have a few hundred pictures, of flowers, and mountains and buildings and dogs and babies and people and… it isn’t easy to narrow it down.
I will be back in a while.

Jessica is very pretty. She looks a lot like your wife in that one picture I saw when you two were just children, in the early 80s. Does she still play her flute? You are such an engaged dad. Your daughters are lucky.
College sort of cut off the flute thing. She is busy. But thanks, I got to stay home with both of them, so I am very lucky.
Cool! I could have sworn you photoshopped that face in the water. I really like the picture of the little girl with the birds, so cute.
I have quite a few pictures of kids that just captured a moment. And dogs I met. But the kids dancing at the concerts were great. One Swiss kid sat on the stairs at the edge of the stage, waving a stick like he was conducting, for the enitre concert.
artists are cool!!
They need to be…
I have no idea what that means…
You don’t have to actually PROVE that you know what anything means when you’re an artist, as long as what you say rhymes a little bit (a tactic that mystifies even the most linear mind)…Unlike this comment. However, if I made this sentence rhyme it would completely nullify what I’m trying to say, and now that I have said that, I realize how excruciatingly difficult it is to not get this to rhyme. Uhhh…The stupid dog needs to pee, I gotta go. (Don’t worry, this is not a secret code that only makes sense when you add up the numeric values of the third letter in each word.) (I should shut up now.) (Some days it’s harder than others.) (Like today.) (OK bye.)
Are you saying I can always be wrong, and it doesn’t matter because I am an artist? Or not???
Yeah. Whaaa-at?? It has worked for me (so far.)
I have a hard time telling what works for me and what doesn’t… sigh…
Keep trying. You’ll grow up one day (that’s what my mommy keeps telling me anyway).
Ew… growing up?
I’ve heard growing up can be done gracefully (with enough shaving cream).
I don’t use it… it plugs up my ears…
LOL….niiiice…
Lovely pics.
Thanks.
Dear pmao,
They’re lovely photos. Keep ’em coming. 🙂
Love Dotty xxx
P.S. Go and see my post, it’s my first photoshop picture.
I am on my way.
Awesome.
I am going to be singing this song all day now. 🙂
Hey, the sound worked on that one… I could hear it. I like the picture… it looks like an aliens bellybutton…
that face became squidlike with its reflection-just give it tentacles on the left and it would be complete. Your photos here show me exactly why i want to be living in mainland europe in the near future. Its simply a stunning place.
It is lovely. But so is England. Switzerland is awesome. It is like elves clean the place up every night. Even the woods seem clean and neat.
More pics. MORE PICS!
Please?
Oh, okay…
I most certainly enjoy that face in the water. How awesome!
Thank you…
Funny I was totally thinking you put that Face in the water. That is totally cool. You must have loved it.
Great pictures!
That water just need a big face in it.
That’s what I think when I look at big pools of water that look empty 🙂
Sometimes I stick my face in the water…
I bet you also stick your nose out the window when you drive too…. 😀
That ain’t all I stick out of the window when I drive…
Hmm, so many places to go on this comment….which way is best……PG13 I’m sure. LOL
