   GW “Bubba” Bush will never live this down. I was in Katrina–not in NOLA. The devastation continues today. Families we’re scattered all over the country. One family relocated in my neighborhood-nice folks.

   My perspective is somewhat different. I blame both political parties, federal, state, and local governments, partisan bickering, overlapping bureaucracies, for this failure. In my opinion, Mayor Ray Nagin’s and Governor, Mary Landrieu’s pictures belong on the rogue’s gallery wall, along with GW’s.

   From working in a building supply store, it seemed more aid came from the private sector, than from the Fed. I take no comfort in knowing, that if another disaster of this magnitude took place, the government would come to our aid and comfort. This shocked me as much, if not more, than 9-11, because it was closer to home.

     I feel your pain, and in no way mean to make light of the suffering of the victims… sometimes I have to shave corners when doing a humor bit… just for the record, my daughter and her church youth group went and helped rebuild houses…
