Because the new Star Wars movie is 57 hours long, they had extra time to give characters more depth. This extended even into the personal lives of the individual storm troopers… which is cool, because even the brainless minions of a repressive evil empire need some down time.
I also think that the idea of an evil empire having a disco for its evil minions is brilliant commentary… because, seriously… what is more evil than disco???
