You need to see Weird Al Yankovic….
Why would you want to see a guy in a funny shirt with crazy hair who plays an accordion?
Because he also plays the keyboard. Look, I can’t explain it to you. I apologize for the length of this post and the low-quality pictures. Some of them are pictures of the big screen that showed live video of what was happening on stage. So they are grainy. We didn’t have the best seats, but they were free. I am not even going to explain which songs he did. If you know about him, you will know the songs. If you don’t… then Goggle him… now…
All I am going to say is that you will see the craziest concert you ever saw. And he holds back nothing.
Remember, these pictures are all the same guy. He does costume changes.
So you get Jim Morrison and his leather pants.
Or an Amish guy doing some gangster rap.
Or a rendition of an 80’s MTV era classic.
Or a sleazy lounge lizard love song where he came down into the audience to gyrate right up in people’s business in an orange and black tiger stripe outfit.
And a really fat Michael Jackson. And he isn’t just doing copy songs. He is doing hilarious rewrites of the words of original songs.
You get Nirvana complete with cheerleader backup dancers.
And he did a Lady Gaga song in… some kind of weird chicken outfit.
Or maybe it’s a peacock… who knows?
You want to see a guy dressed like a Jedi playing the accordion? He is your man. Because he rewrote that Bye Bye Miss American Pie song with lyrics that cover all of the Star Wars movies.
And he had Storm Trooper dancers and Darth Vader on stage with him.
I mean, come on! This was just a two-hour show at a county fair. The only song I missed hearing was that one where he took a Red Hot Chilly Pepper song and put lyrics about the Flintstones to it. But you can’t have everything. Not even from Weird Al.

Thank you for the recap. LMAO @ Lady Gaga.
Thank you. I do what I can.
Hey, free bad seats or not, you got to see Weird Al LIVE! W00t! That would totally rock my world, if I ever got the opportunity to do that. 8-D I had no idea he’d dress the part for the songs. That is so cool!
It was a lot of fun.
I’ve never been, but I do have one of his concerts on tape (yes, VHS). It’s a really great show. I’d like to see him live some day.
He puts a lot of energy into it.
I know. I’d love to see his show live.
Don McLean once said in an interview that he loved Weird Al’s rewrite of his song.
And occasionally when onstage, he’ll accidentally do a verse of Weird Al’s during American Pie.
That would be awesome to see.
Great post you have out did yourself… If the blogging community does like this then can place it where the sun always shines…
Maybe you’ll get Freshly Pressed?
You just never know what people will like.
Have they PRESSED YOU?
Not even once… ever.
