A Trex…

Here is some more concept art for the novel. This is a Bat, or, as they are also known, a Trex. They call themselves the Tribes of Taaleem.

They are only about two feet tall. 98% of their race are members of the Royalty, which can make it hard for the commoners as you can imagine. And it isn’t always easy for the Royalty either, which explains why the Prince and the Baron work at the Saloon at the Edge of Everywhere…

    It’s got chicken feet! LOL! Looks less bat-like than I was expecting…you do that a lot…give something an earth nickname that is more related to some aspect of the beastie other than its actual appearance. Can be a bit confusing but interesting none the less….

    How’s Mollie doing?

    • She is fine. Thanks for asking.
      Things often get names that do not seem to be helpful. The hammerhead shark has a head that looks more like wings to me. The robin’s read breast is more of a rust color. And sperm whale? What’s up with that.
      Sometimes the races just get named by the first person who meets one, and in the very next chapter Rufus gets to do just this. So I poke fun at myself once more.
      Also, the bats look more batlike when they are facing you, and raise their arms.

    • Oh, and my email is;
      brownemonkey@gmail.com, if you think that will make things easier. I do value the help more than I can say. I am going to slow down the posting of the novel. I think the sheer number of words is putting people off. My numbers are dropping like a meteor hitting orbit.

    Designing your vision of the characters from your novel is a good idea, and good to post while some people catch up on the book. Just ignore Moose for the most part…it does look a tad dinosaury, but it’s different enough. See wing flap comment.
