I had to drive two hours up into the mountains to pick up Mollie from camp. I saw this lovely lady and had to pull over to meet her.
She came right over when I made that clicky noise with my tongue. Animals and babies love me.
She was a sweet horse. Always stop and pet the horses.
And don’t trust people if animals and babies don’t like them.
It is always nice to make a new friend.
And just to clear two pictures off my cell phone, here is some food my wife and I ate at a lovely Mediterranean restaurant…
And here is a random sunset picture I took a few days ago…
Now about that last post I did. Sorry if I sounded a little whiney. I have nothing to feel sorry for myself for. My blog is doing great, and if you want to comment on other posts I do… like this one… instead of on our record-breaking post… you go right ahead and I will try to answer them all.
But after hearing all you advice and kind words, I do have an idea. We can have actual discussions on that post. We can share recipes or you can ask me questions about whatever. And thanks to my friend: http://guapola.wordpress.com/ or: El Guapo for short… (which means something like ‘the handsome one’ in Spanish, I believe)… I have a new link to the record post that I can paste in new posts… that will take you right to the comment box… less scrolling…

Horses, food and a sunset. I’m in.
what’s not to love?
Pretty horsey!
she was
That’s a very sweet friend you made!
(and the food looks tasty and the sunset beautiful…)
I do like having a camera in my phone…
Hee hee – yep, it’s very practical!
It is hard to remember to bring a camera everywhere.
And he likes horses. He’s a cowboy at heart. Cowboys and aliens? Isn’t there a movie about that? lol.
I am a cowboy stuck in a city boy body… with an alien brain…
ha, hah, hah…
sigh
You can add horses to your list of things that love you, babies and dogs being the others (I won’t count minions)
I always count the minions… right now I have 37 of them.
How ado you quantify this? Have they sold their soul to you?
they gave it to me
What a beautiful friend! Didn’t it break your heart to have to leave her? It did mine and I didn’t even get to see her first hand! I am off to search that other colt post now…
yay… and yes
In the hurry-burry of today’s world and the intrinsic selfishness that it has planted in us, how many of us can ‘see’ a beautiful creature as a friend the way you have? I need to acknowledge you for that and the lovely post and photographs.
Shakti
Thank you very much. We should all take the time to meet the other inhabitants of our world.
Just horsing around.

wheeeeeeeee
Yay, a horse!
I’ve seen lots of posts with dogs, cats. But a horse…
Did you see my post where I met the week-old pony who was descended from a famous race horse???
NO!!
Was there a post with a pony???
Yay!! I love ponies!!
I will see if I can remember the title so you can search it
ok… search for: ‘the best Easter ever’
look at the pony…
Dude. Rock it.
rocket
I mostly make babies cry. Mostly. Even after I had my own. But just tonight I actually *held* a little tike who is normally leery of strangers and whadaya know but he actually smiled. No bawling, really. Maybe I’m losing my touch.
Animals love me though.
As to that other post, it occurred to me, is there some kind of time limit? Some deadline? I think you could look on it as a long-term project and it might change your outlook. Maybe?
It is a long term project. I just wonder how much to focus on it day by day.
Well, you could do that whole goal-setting thing–you know, say I want xxxnumber of comments by suchandsuch a date and then do the math, give you an idea of how many posts you want per day….or now I’m over-thinking it. I do that.
It is just going to do what it does
Aye. That it is.
what else can it do, really?
He looks like me.
the horse???
Yes, doesn’t he seem professorish?
Smart enough to like me…
I love falafal.:-)
Me too
That’s a beautiful horse!
She was sweet
She so looks like it.
yes she did
Would this be your first equine minion as well, Art?
no… I have others…
Hey!
well I do
This is why I know Jesus Christ had to be a nice guy. He liked kids.
Well supposedly his dad invented them, right?
Supposedly.
so they say
You’re right about if the animal doesn’t like them….
(She was probably being extra sweet trying to get invited to eat grapevine leaves.)
I guess, but that is a rather cynical way to look at our friendship…
I’m glad I read the post instead of just looking at the pretty pictures. I might have thought the horse was dinner…
Well, if the romance doesn’t work out… HA!!!
So it was you behind that bad meat scandal! Peddling horse flesh… tsk, tsk, tsk.
I would never do that
Well, maybe *you* might not, but I was talking to bumble over here!
oh… that guy might …
Hey… I used to pass by a butcher every day that sold horse. I wish I had tried it, but it didn’t sing to me like Mr. Ed.
Seriously, you would have eaten some if it sang, “A horse is a horse, of course, of course, and no one can talk to a horse of course, that is of course, unless the horse is butchered up for bumblepuppies”?
I’ve eaten stranger things.
so have I
Or Stairway to Heaven?
There’s no mention of horses in that song, Art.
the horse likes to sing it
I’m still having a difficult time imagining a horse sounding like Robert Plant.
What about looking like Robert Plant?
Even more difficult.
Not for me it isn’t…
I don’t think I could eat horse unless I had too
too… much to drink?
There isn’t enough alcohol in the world….
bwahahaha!
sigh
I think there is
I guess I meant ‘had two’… HA!
to, too, two? If it was ‘two’, well… wow. So you’re so hungry you could eat two horses? That’s amazing.
No… just eat one and have an extra to ride around on
Suuuuuuure. I can hear you licking your chops when the extra one breaks down.
well, yeah
