You know, like suns do…
I took all of these from my mom’s deck…
The Bay Area has some awesome sunsets, but there were two nights when we were there that just called out for me to grab my camera…
Except I hate those stupid telephone wires…
I guess I could have Photshopped them out, but I already did a post about that… so I just cropped some of the pictures.
A blazing fire in the horizon. One can get lost in the beauty.
That is a lovely way to put it.
If I sat with that view I would become a nature poet.
The funny thing is that people stop looking at the views if they see it too often.
You’re right.
It is very sad
In NY we are lucky if we get a clear view if the bland sunsets we have.
I have photos of so many sunsets all over the place that I have it in my word cloud category thing in my sidebar… all of them so easy to find now.
I remember a sunrise when I was about 19. A friend and I were going home after parting all night around 5:30 in the morning. We were riding our bikes over an train overpass. It was early spring so the foliage was young leaves of in shades of soft green. The train track were heading into the rising sun. The tracks caught the rays and making the view mesmerizing. This was 39 years go. We didn’t walk around with cameras like we do today with our cells. I wish I knew how to paint to capture that amazing view on canvas. I will never forget it. This was upstate NY. As a city girl I appreciate any gifts from nature. BTW my girlfriend remembers that spectacular sunrise too.
I have seen them all over the world. I never get sick of them. I get up early to see the sun rise, and always try to see the sun go down… good story, thanks.
🙂
thanks
My god. We’ve got some incredible sunsets here in Vermont, but those mountains really sell the scene. Great photos – especially the contrail ones.
thanks
I want to be there!
you should be
Great shots! I hate the telephone wires around here when I’m trying to shoot too, they’re everywhere.
Not for much longer with the cell phones and whatnot
that’d be nice
it will be
OK, well those are some SUNSETS! Absolutely gorgeous. I’m glad I got to see them vicariously through you.
You can use my eyes anytime…
Wow, these are stunning! I’m a sucker for a pretty sunset… And actually my favorite one is the picture with the telephone wires. Not sure why, I know nothing about photography, but that’s the one that I would frame and hang on the wall.
Thanks… I even have a sunset link in my word cloud in the sidebar with all my sunset pictures conveniently easy to find… you know… in case you ever break your leg and your TV stops working and you are really really bored…
I’m gonna go poke around there now. No maimed limbs or extreme boredom necessary!
that is too awesome for words…
I think the telephone wires are metaphorical and give the photographs a symbolic aura.
Like maybe people are calling other people telling them to go outside and look at the sunset…
These are bloody awesome. They are great photos. Vivid colouring.
I thought you might like these…
😀 And you were right
